Currently known forum issues

The 3.8 series of vBulletin, used as forum software here, has reached its End of Life. It appears it's incompatible with the latest version of the PHP script language used by my web hosting service.

- So far I've noticed that the WYSIWYG editor is suffering from this since it turns up blank most of the times when you try to edit an old post.
- Also, quoting a post doesn't always include the actual quote. Seems editor related too.

Despite its EoL status, there's a version 3.8.8 beta available that I haven't tested yet but the correct move would probably be to upgrade to the 4.x series. This however would render current plugins and modifications invalid and involve more work than I can justify at the moment, considering every artist we feature here seems to have disappeared form the surface of the Earth.

This also brings up the future of the forum itself. I've recently renewed the domain for another year but with the little activity of our artists and the fact that I don't have the same energy or interest I had when I started this seven years ago, there's a possibility I will just silently let it die next year. If anyone knows of a free and permanent online storage service where every file can be easily dumped and accessed by others, please feel free to suggest them in this thread.

Regards
Morgan

I wish it will be ok,please keep holding on,thank you so much for these unforgettable days,I enjoy it all the time.

There are many file storages and save files permanently, for example,"www.mega.co.nz",it provides 50G free storage, you can save our artists' videos in it.

Best wishes for you and your forum, hope everything go well!

A workaround for this issue is to use the Standard Editor instead of the WYSIWYG editor.

- Click User CP
- Under Settings & Options, select Edit Options
- Scroll down to Miscellaneous Options at the bottom of the page and select the Standard Editor there
- Save changes

Editing old posts should now work again.
