I google for a while and find the DVD from an online store in Bulgaria. It's 36 Euro

Has anyone bought it from that website before?

My memory fails me but I think it was possible to buy a DVD of this concert from PBS once. Some of our US Sissel fans probably know that better than I. I would be surprised if this Bulgarian version was anything other than a copy of that DVD and I'm pretty sure they don't have PBS' permission to sell it.

Dalhalla DVD still available from Berkshire Record Outlet

All,

I bought a copy of Dalhalla a couple of weeks ago. I just checked online and it is still listed, so probably still available at US$3.99 (half the price of an iTunes download). One standout for me is Herre Gud Ditt Dyre Navn, which is not on Sissel's Nordisk Vinternatt CD. BRO will ship outside U.S. but wants orders of US$20 or more. To fill out my order I bought several Kiri Te Kanawa CDs for my wife for Christmas . BRO specializes in out-of-print CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, etc.

/John

When I watch the DVD again today, I find that Sissel was weeping when she was singing "Sally Gardens".

I am trying to remove the border from the video and building a menu, but I cannot find the correct aspect ratio. The video looks like to be 16:9, but when I crop the video to the size: 704x396, the outcome is weird.

It is a pity that this DVD is no longer available from any webstores.

Dalhalla dvd

yes i have the dvd myself, purchased from BRO records just before christmas.i hadn't noticed her crying on that song so when i watch it next time i'll pay more close attention.as for the dvd aspect ratio it is defineatley 4x3 letterbox which means that if you have a widescreen telly you will have black borders all around the picture area.to fill the screen with the image i need to engage one of my zoom modes.even when doing it this way i do lose a small area of the picture not to mention the subsequent loss in picture resolution when any image is zoomed.if you still have an older 4x3 crt you will get the correct aspect ratio with black bars above and below the picture.if neither of these suggestions work for you you may need to adjust your picture settings in your dvd player menu.hope this helps

I just watched my DVD again and you're right, she was weeping about half way through the song. I wonder if it was just the emotion of the song or if it had brought back a memory
