Norwegian public broadcasting company NRK have been in business for 50 years and they have a huge archive. On occasions they share gems from this vast treasure with us which made it possible for me to record this old performance with Sissel. This is a duet with Swedish singer Göran Fristorp and the clip is from a 1989 show called "Julegleder" (Christmas Joys). The song is actually a poem called "Men går jag över ängarna" (But If I Walk Across the Meadows) by the Swedish poet Nils Ferlin and it's not a traditional Christmas song. It doesn't in any way lessen the pleasant experience of watching and listening to a young Sissel. I just wish they could share more stuff like this. This clip was the last in the program so unfortunately they chose to put the end credits over the video. I do however appreciate the fact that NRK added black borders on the sides to convert it to widescreen format instead of cropping off the top and bottom...
